HELP! 50 Albacores for sale

General Forum for Discussing All Things Albacore

Postby Scott S. » Thu Feb 15, 2007 11:50 pm

Just read this thread with reat interest. The lot of Albs were actually bought by some on PEI. After he moved 6 or 7 of them from Nova Scotia he realized how difficult the transportation was going to be. He took the best of the lot to PEI and sold the rest to Shelburne. I bought one that is in great shape and will start to get it ready for the water in another month or so. There may be one of the good ones still around.   Any hints on basic rigging schemes and photos. I assume the above mention of Albacourier will have this info.

The articles pages on the Albacore website have a ton of information about rigging, and other toipics. Plus there's a rigging article here:

Join the Canadian Albacore Association and you'll get all the goodies from the web sites and Shackles & Cringles, the quarterly newsletter. Look here:

One of these PEI canadian forces OY boats is now in toronto at OHCC.

7531

Owned by Scott, then by my dad, Louie Don.
Has some upgraded rigging already

-Hapco design hiking straps sewn by wayfarer Hans
- a vang setup, and
- centreboard line s with take up

More to come, first focus on foils and sails

Thanks to Ken Yamazaki for measuring the boat this week
And to Peter Duncan for great advice
